Go Go Dancing So Go Go To Club 212

I hope you, as I did, survived Hurricane Irene and are thinking about future drinking and fun.  Before the end-of-the-world storm was about to hit the area, I spent Friday at Club 212.  On a side note, I should mention I am the club’s photographer.  Well, was I ever in for a treat.  This past Friday the club had dancers from Go Gutiz Entertainment.  As usual specials were available until 11.

In any event, the women did not disappoint the people that came out.  The attraction of dancing certainly encouraged many others to take the stage and enjoy some dancing for the crowd.  Photos will be appearing on the club’s website and Facebook fan page.  Feel free to check out past photos at Club 212.

Take Me Out To The Ballpark with some Sly Fox Royal Weisse!

The Phillies continue to dominate the schedule and continue their path to the playoffs.  There are still two afternoon games left.  And, if you like the Phighting Phils, hot dogs and good beer then I suggest going to the Sly Fox for the afternoon game.  At the bar, you can find dollar dogs during the game and $2.50 pints on certain beers like my favorite, Royal Weisse.

The Royal Weisse is a wheat beer with hints of citrus and spice.  It is a light bodied beer and is something I enjoy on a hot Summer day or a cool Fall afternoon.  The Royal Weisse makes you feel like you are wearing crowns of majesty.  I enjoy the color of my beer and it goes down nicely with the hotdogs and chips.  A perfect meal for a Phighting Phils game.

Come on out for the remaining Phighting Phils afternoon games Thursday, Sept. 1st at 12:35pm against the Reds and Wednesday, Sept. 14th at 2:30pm against the Astros.  Support the team with some good beer, good hotdogs and great company.  Go Phils!

A Stop at Molly Maguire’s

Molly Maguire's Pub

Molly Maguire's Pub in Phoenixville

Hello all.  I found myself this past Saturday in Phoenixville with some high school friends.  After hanging out at one of the guy’s home watching “MacGruber” among other movies, we moved the festivities to Molly Maguire’s.

If you like live bands, then you should check out the bar as they usually have someone playing.  I didn’t catch the name of the band from Saturday but they did put on a good show.  Anyone covering Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance” is good in my book.

The bar definitely appeals to those of the older crowd who don’t want rowdy dancing and just want to enjoy a drink with some friends.  I enjoyed a good seasonal Sam Adams.  By finding $15 on the floor, my friend and I were able to do some Tic Toc shots.  The luck of the Irish was with us.

Silly Dragon, Trix Are For Kids

Flannel Guy and some other Phoenixville Crawlers

Hey all.  Well, this weekend was spent with some time Phoenixville with my Flannel Guy, Flannel Guy’s girlfriend and John.  I really think I need to come up with a name for John.  Eh, I’m lazy tonight so on to other things.

On this night out, we ventured to Franco’s for some food and beer.  A turn of events occurred.  Flannel Guy ordered us all Silly Dragons, a drink that he concocted one glorious night.  A remarkable hostess, Darlene, made the intoxicating drinks for us and we guzzled them down.

Flannel Guy's very own Silly Dragon. Only at Franco Ristorante.

While waiting for the drinks, I enjoyed a raspberry Shocktop and scarfed down an excellent chicken Caesar salad.  I’m man enough to admit that I love Raspberry Beer.  The delicious tartness of that beer just tastes so good.

The drink has so much liquor mixed with fruit juices that I was in a state of immense pleasure.  If you are out and looking for something different then stop by Franco’s and order a Silly Dragon.  And, feel free to order one for me while you at it.
